Its stunning shakti bomb nature, the ridiculously rich musical culture and the warmth, generosity and soul of its people.
My journey with yoga began in Brazil… where I learned how to become one with its wild green; how to bathe in the pranic downpour in a waterfall and how to find magic and pleasure in the most simple of daily moments.
Brazil is how I get my groove back over and over again.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 THINGS TO DO IN BRAZIL?
Hike to the top of Pedra Bonita in Rio de Janeiro and hang glide off.
Dance in a samba school and parade during Carnival in Rio’s Sambodromo. (This should be on everyone’s bucket list.)
Visit the pristine beaches and bathe in the wild waterfalls of Bahia.
Dance to traditional live samba at Rio Scenarium or Carioca da Gema and walk around Lapa (Rio’s Artist District) on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.
Visit Pelourinho, the historic Center of Salvador (the capitol of Bahia) and take in the breath-taking show of the Balé Folclórico.
